and that's why folks try so hard to regulate, contain, discipline + stamp out any whiff of Black athletic activism. To make it about the individual- make an example of those who take action... or by making a minimal optical effort- temporary kneeling, jersey slogans, etc

league execs are shaking now, praying it passes, that its a moment they can publicly applaud and move on from, fodder for a new emotional video that makes it seem like they doing something....

but if it spreads, if it sustains..whew...buckle up
