Enough despair. Let’s organize!

I’m project manager of a anti-capitalist, National #DualPower initiative ( @projectARCADlA) building #sustainable food & housing security for(mostly) colonized people w prefabricated, communal dwellings & vertical aeroponics http://projectarcadia.org
We have a team of sustainable architects/other collaborators in the university DONATING labor to help us (legally) build “Liberated Green Zones” & sprawling urban farms capable of housing anywhere from 100-5k people, and feeding anywhere from 500-5k families (approx. 20k people)
I need experienced community organizers in:

Baltimore/Annapolis

NYC

Chicago

Philly

ATL

New Orleans

San Diego

Oakland

(and really from anywhere mostly Black/Indigenous/Colonized people live)

to help us roll out this program on a national scale.
I have over 100 pages of project proposal/programming for serious and experienced community organizers to read to see what we’re tying to build.

This information is NOT for publication or distribution, so you will be thoroughly vetted before receiving it.
Brief, important FAQ:

“Will you be asking for money?”

Yes, eventually. But at this stage, we just need to get enough people interested to set up operations outside of Albuquerque (this is where we plan to build the first of two pilot “Green Zones”)... (con)
... for full transparency, the fundraising goal is $100m dollars.

We know that’s huge number.

But we all know there are 1 million (especially white) people who can part with $100 dollars without breaking the bank, and in the end, it will serve to END hunger/ homelessness (con)
this will be a *national* campaign, and we’ll be using things like chuffed, gofundme, paypal, cash/venmo, and other P2P money sharing platforms to achieve fundraising goals.

We will release a documentation weekly detailing where all funds have gone, to whom, and for what.
FAQ:

“What will funds be used for?”

All money raised will be used for FIVE things and FIVE things only.

1. sourcing/fabricating sustainable materials (like used shipping containers) into communal housing for the at risk

2. Sourcing/fabricating the industrial...
... greenhouses that will support our urban farms.

3. Compensating laborers with living wages, expanding the housing program, and expanding the farming initiative to build community food banks and super markets... saving the average family approx $6k a year in food costs
4. Research & Development into other community restoration initiatives for specific locales

and

5. Building all other possible forms of #DualPower among the people, including community and self defense, education, and community healthcare programs.
FAQ:

“How on earth are you going to feed that many people?”

We use an horticulture innovation called “vertical aeroponics”, which in the most basic of terms is the process of growing fruits, vegetable, some nuts (and just about every kind of produce) in a 20-50 ft tower....
... instead of in soil.

This way, we can grow 9x the produce, with a 90% less space AND with only 10% of the water used in traditional agricultural.

This: 1. saves billions of tons of water. 2. doesn’t require harmful, cancer causing pesticides, herbicides and fungicides,
which in turn 3. makes it cheaper to produce, 4. allows people the freedom and peace of mind of choosing how their food is made and 5. allows us to challenge the hegemony of the corporate super markets which price our most vulnerable members of society out of the ability to eat.
FAQ:

“How will you house so many people?”

favorite question! The average single family home (4 beds, 2.1 baths) is actually capable of housing up to 10 people comfortably, and if designed with sustainability and minimalism in mind, we can fit 20 people in just 4k sqft
By designing simpler living, we can fit more people in smaller, but more comfortable and completely sustainable/self-sufficient spaces at a fraction of the cost.

FAQ: “How will you make housing at a fraction of the cost?”

We use an architecture innovation called “prefab”...
...which in the most basic of terms means building a home out of some kind of repurposed material (like a shipping container), constructing the dwelling in a factory or something, shipping it to the build site, and then assembling the pieces like legos.

This saves hundreds of...
thousands of dollars in time and money.

A traditional family dwelling takes approx 8 months and $300k

A prefab house, again, capable of housing 20 people max, takes a matter of weeks to complete and can be done for as little as 20k.
FAQ:

“Who’s is involved so far?”

myself, my partner @galileohno, who wrote our beautiful mission statement, the sustainable architecture department at my local university and former members of USYCS (not going to give their names here, DM for details), and we’ll be resuming
talks with Lakota and Navajo comrades to ask for their leadership and see how this project can best serve them in their quest for liberation.

So far, it’s a small team officially 15 people.
It’s time for us to stop waiting around to be saved, or for workers to fall into our laps. it’s never gonna happen.

We did the analysis of the material condition. We found the dedicated folx willing to lend their skills. We know how to get it all done.

Now we just need help.
All this marching and rallying and rioting is not going to save anybody.

We have to get on with the business of making our systems of organization, and the necessity of revolution, obsolete.

We have to start building #DualPower if we plan to survive.

Help us do that!
Again, I have over 100 pages of program for any organizer who is seriously interested in building a green liberated zones in or near the community they serve

Any and all questions submitted on our “Say Hi” form will be answered by me personally within 48 hours.
Where we live has a profound effect on the rest of our lives, and we require the assurance of our most basic physical and mental health before we can exert our energies into other tasks.

People who are starving are homeless are more worried about survival than reading Marx.
The crimson tide of socialism is rising, and it will sweep away the organs of class rule; taking with it every billionaire, banker, cop, politician, and capitalist agitator who would stand in its way.

We just need to have the political courage to ride the wave.
