17-Year-Old Suspect Kyle Rittenhouse Identified as Kenosha Shooter — Allegedly Shot Three People, Killing Two — Charged with Murder

He may have a strong argument for self defense;

Video shows him being pursued by the rioters as he runs away while someone is heard yelling "get him". Still photos show the shooter being struck in the head with a deadly weapon (skateboard) as he was chased to the ground as he tried to escape the mob.

Upon discharging his weapon at the skateboard attacker killing him, almost simultaneously, another male wearing a "paramedic" hat and what was later confirmed to be a face-mask with what appears to be satanic symbology, approaches the 17-year old on the ground.

The "paramedic" draws a pistol, which is not shown on video. Gun fights happen fast, video doesn't show everything. The 17-year old then discharges his weapon again, most likely in response to seeing the firearm, he most likely saved his own life at this moment.

The 17-year old struck his target in the right bicep area allowing him to escape. The "paramedic" is shown holding his weapon moments later while looking at his wound.

The "paramedic" is shown here with a closeup of what appears too be a facemark with satanic symbology. Not sure what to make of this but strange none the less.

I am not a lawyer but WI self defense law is pretty clear, they DO NOT have a "stand your ground" law and you must retreat especially if not in your home. Did he retreat or was he attempting to retreat when he was attacked further?

This is the video of the shooting incident at the car dealership from one angle it is not clear who the shooter was but it sounds as if there are multiple witnesses, however eyewitnesses are very unreliable at trial.

In this video you see the "paramedic" being responded too and someone seems to secure his weapon previously documented above in the thread not sure if this is LEO who secures it or someone else.

Here is very good video with split screen showing the incident at the car dealership however it appears the shooter was chased to this location by the crowd when the shooting occurs. He appears to be chased and semi corned when he turns and shoots.

Apparently I struck a cord with some by not including quotes when referencing the "satanic" symbology on the "paramedics" face mask. I am not casting aspersions just analyzing the incident and making observations NOT conclusions. So I stand corrected; "satanic".

. @Skadi649631 makes a VERY good point here all of this is analysis and conjecture at this point and the investigation may reveal more facts that we are not sure of at this point. Although eye witness testimony is not always reliable at trial.

The great legal mind of @Barnes_Law confirmed there is a stand your ground law in WI under certain circumstances which will definitely complicate a prosecution and may help the defense.

There is much chatter by those who are arguing the 17-year old was illegally possessing a weapon etc. We are not debating this aspect. He may very well had been, but one does not denote conviction of the other. That would be a firearms charge unrelated to a murder charge.
