This thread is just for entertainment purposes. PLEASE do not bring your ass in my mentions trying to defend your faves or saying "now y'all want to cancel them" go cry somewhere else and let me do my shit.
Gwen Stefani - Luxurious

First up is the queen of cultural appropriation, Gwen Stefani herself. In this video she dresses as a Chola and depicts herself as Frida Kahlo beating piรฑatas. This whole video is a hot mess
Jennifer Lopez - I'm Real

Not only was she stealing songs and vocals from black women, she actually had the nerve to get on a song and say "niggas" and no one batted an eye
Aaliyah - Age Ain't Nothing but a Number

Not only was Aaliyah very young singing this, the song was written by R. Kelly who carried on an inappropriate relationship with her at the time, eventually marrying her while she was 15 and he was 27.
The Police - Every Breath You Take

People think of this song as being positive when it actually details the story of a possessive lover. The song was written by Sting in regards to an affair he had with his then wife's best friend who lived next to them.
Pretty Ricky - Nothing but a Number

Another song about someone underage being in a relationship with someone who's older
Jay-Z - Girls, Girls, Girls

"I got this African chick with Eddie Murphy on her skull, She like, 'Jigga Man, why you treat me like animal?' I'm like, 'Excuse me, Ms. Fufu, but when I met your ass you was dead broke and naked, and now you want half'"
Donell Jones - Where I Wanna Be

A classic fuckboy anthem. He really said "If she give me some time, I can be the man she needs, but there's a lot of lust inside of me"..........boy WHAT?!?!?
Guy - Piece of My Love

This is one of those songs that you've heard so many times but never actually paid attention to the lyrics. This is basically about a man who's in a relationship that has nothing else to offer his side chick but dick
Eminem - Just Lose It

There's no way Eminem could've dodged this list. In this song he takes a jab at the child molestation accusations Michael Jackson had at the time as well as making fun of his burn incident.
Benny Mardones - Into The Night

"She's just sixteen years old
Leave her alone, they say
Separated by fools
Who don't know what love is yet"

This song is creepy as hell and I can't believe someone would actually write sonething like this.
Aerosmith - Crazy

The song itself isn't problematic but the video sexualizes young girls. One of those young girls being the lead singer's daughter who was only 16 at the time. The other girl is Alicia Silverstone who was 17.
Gary Puckett & The Union Gap - Young Girl

Another creepy ass song about an older guy falling in love with an underaged girl.
MoKenStef - He's Mine

"He's mine
You may have had him once
But I got him all the time"

This is definitely a bird anthem. She literally doesn't care that he's cheating on her, as long as he finds his way back home.
Whitney Houston - Saving All My Love for You

"My friends try and tell me find a man of my own"

We all loved Whitney's voice so much that it was hard to get caught up in the lyrics sometimes but in this song sis is singing about being a homewrecker.
SWV - You're The One

"I know that you're somebody else's guy
But these feelings that I have for you I can't deny"

Thank you Coko, Lelee, and Taj for giving us this homewrecking bop.
Atlantic Starr - Secret Lovers

Another song about two people in separate relationships doing things together that they don't have no damn business doing.
The Crystals - He Hit Me (And It Felt Like a Kiss)

"But he hit me
And I was glad"

This song is toxic as hell. How do you glamorize domestic violence like that?
Gwen Stefani - Harajuku Girls

Gwen hits the list again as she continued to appropriate cultures. This was a very weird era for her because she used these four Asian girls as props and allegedly had them under contractual obligation to not speak English
Fergie - Fergalicious

Now I know some may be wondering why Fergie is apart of this but she was very involved in a lot of elements of Black culture. If she would've came out in the late 2010s, she would've probably gotten the Iggy Azalea treatment.
Britney Spears - I'm a Slave 4 U

The song in it's entirety isn't problematic but the chorus definitely gets a side eye. The fact that the song was offered to Janet Jackson first doesn't make it any better.
Katy Perry - Ur So Gay

I think the title of the song pretty much speaks for itself.
The Human League - The Sound of the Crowd

"But don't forget, it's me who put you where you are now
And I can put you back down too."

This song is from the perspective of a man who voluntarily changes a woman's lifestyle and now he thinks he owns her.
Truth Hurts - Addictive

She's singing about a toxic relationship and the cultural appropriation in this video is outrageous. A $500 million lawsuit against her label for the uncleared Indian sample was issued, preventing performances and video broadcasts
Miguel - How Many Drinks

This song is a bop but I can't help but realize it has a few predator like undertones. Asking "How many drinks would it take you to leave with me?" doesn't exactly go unnoticed.
Jamie Foxx - Blame It

Another song that gives off heavy predator vibes. He's basically trying to see how far he can go with a girl who is getting increasingly drunk.
Tone Loc - Funky Cold Medina

Yet another predator song where a guy informs another guy about what he slips in the drinks of girls to make them more interested in him.
Rocko ft. Future and Rick Ross - U.O.E.N.O

"Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain't even know it
I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain't even know it"

Super disgusting lyric
Eminem ft. Dr. Dre - Guilty Conscience

This song makes a reference to raping an underaged girl after slipping something into her drink
Cam'ron - Suck It Or Not

Another song that gives off predator vibes. If she wants to suck it, you won't have to repeatedly ask her.
Dr. Dre - Bitches Ain't Shit

A song full of lyrics degrading women but I wouldn't expect anything more coming from Dr. Dre.
Snow - Informer

A Canadian white boy singing in a Jamaican accent. He must be Drake's mentor.
David Bowie - China Girl

This song is really about him fetishising a Chinese girl and he even goes as far as doing the slanted eye gesture with his fingers in the video.
John Lennon - Woman Is The Nigger of the World

What the hell is this even supposed to mean? Just problematic for no damn reason.
Lou Reed - Walk On The Wild Side

"And the colored girls go
Do-do-do, do-do, do-do-do"

Like.....what was the reason?
Buju Banton - Boom Bye Bye

Even though Buju has since apologized, this is still the most homophobic song I've ever heard. I don't care if people still love it or whatever other weird ass excuse, this song literally incites violence against gay men.
T.O.K. - Chi Chi Man

Another disgustingly homophobic song about killing gay men.
DMX - Where The Hood At

"I show no love, to homo thugs
Empty out, reloaded and throw more slugs
How you gonna explain fuckin a man?
Even if we squashed the beef, I ain't touching ya hand"

He literally went out of his way to be homophobic on this song
Michael Jackson - You Are Not Alone

On the surface, this seems to be a pretty nice song but after finding out R. Kelly wrote this song about an underaged girl who miscarried his child, I will never hear this song the same way again.
Keith Sweat - Right And Wrong Way

"You may be young but you're ready"

That line sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it hard to hear anything else after that. This performance where he keeps this girl on stage after she tries to exit doesn't help
Joe Tex - Ain't Gonna Bump

A classic fat shaming song
Trina - Da Baddest Bitch

"See if I had the chance to be a virgin again, I'd be fucking by the time I'm ten"

Trina....baby.....wtf
Destiny's Child - Nasty Girl

Even though I'm sure this song was meant to be a response to the criticism that Destiny's Child faced for how they dressed, without knowing that fact it comes off as slut shaming.
Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing)

This part of the song definitely comes across as slut shaming.
Ludacris - Stand Up

"How you ain't gon' fuck?! Bitch, I'm me!
I'm the goddamn reason you in V.I.P"

So because you got her into VIP she's obligated to have sex with you?
The Rolling Stones - Brown Sugar

Ummmm, did they think this song was supposed to be a compliment to Black women?
Webbie - Give Me That

Another song heavy on the predator vibes
Thank you for everyone who took this thread for what it was.....literally just a damn thread. Some of yโ€™all are way too pressed. No where did I call for any of these people to be cancelled or have these songs banned. Thereโ€™s no way some of yโ€™all are THAT stupid
