1. Some thoughts on Kenosha shootings
2. First off, same on the local & state authorities for not taking bolder action to quell the rioting. Between the media pushing the narrative & the gov. doing little to stop it and, after the first night, the Governor's inexcusably weak response opened the door to more violence.
3. The shooter is a 17 year old kid that had no business being there and no business (potentially illegally) open carrying. Being from 20-30 min away is also troubling since, he wasn't defending his own property or life.
4. The shooter being from across state lines doesn't seem important to me. I wouldn't be surprised if there were many rioters also from IL in that crowd. Regardless, see #3 above
5. At the gas station, it's not really clear. What I think I see in the video is the shooter being chased by red shirt guy (victim #1) who throws something at him (some say molotov cocktail but unlikely). I hear numerous shots, unclear from where https://twitter.com/zerosum24/status/1298485015211384834
6. The videos previously showed red-shirt guy being very aggressive but, that's not an excuse to shoot someone. It may be part of a defense strategy though to show the motivation of red shirt guy wanting to do harm https://twitter.com/vanpolitix/status/1298703432753115137
7. I honestly don't know who shot red shirt guy but it does seem clear that the shooter admits it in that first video. You can see him try to call the cops until the mob turns on him and he takes off. https://twitter.com/savantifa/status/1298511645358997505
8. In part 2, you see him being chased down the street and at one point trips and falls. That's when several people come in to attack him (subdue him?) and the kid shoots back
Guy who hits the shooter with the skateboard (victim #2) gets shot at close range and later died. Next guy with a handgun (victim #3) approaches, pauses when victim #2 is shot but then re engages and get shot in the elbow.

This is a good video summary
10. I think that there's a mix of negligence and self defence here. Everyone involved (shooter, victims & authorities) share some of the blame.

I've been wrong several times as this story unfolded and may be again here but, this is how I currently see it.
