Here in #Kenosha for 4th day of protests spurred by police shooting of 29 y/o Jacob Blake on Sunday. Last night, at around 11:45, a shooting occurred causing 2 fatalities and 1 injury for which 17 y/o Kyle Rittenhouse has since been charged with 1st Degree intentional homicide.
Kenosha native Arnetta Griffin is passing out food at 22ave/62 st as a part of her non-profit called, God’s Kitchen of Kenosha. She’s been passing out food 3 times a day for the past 3 years. She said the community really came together this week and donated food.
The shops to the left of local church, Kingdom Word Ministries, were burned down Monday, but the church was unharmed due its firewall, with exception to smoke damage. Pastor David Montgomery is optimistic. “We gotta look at creating something out of the fire,” he said. #Kenosha
“What was he protecting? Nothing,” said Marcus Starks of Kyle Rittenhouse, who shot and killed 2 people last night, injuring another. Rittenhouse came from Illinois to join a group of armed “vigilantes” who were claiming to “protect” property last night in #Kenosha.
Marcus Starks is the friend of Anthony Huber, who was shot and killed last night after he attempted to apprehend Rittenhouse after he witnessed him shoot and kill Jojo Rosenbaum.

“I had to watch my friend die on Facebook, I had to watch my city burn down,” he said. #Kenosha
I’ve spoken with a lot of #Kenosha natives the past few days and they made it clear that is not “normal.”

“Our town not finna be the same no more,” said 29-year-old Kenosha native Elicia Pavlovich.

“It’s never been like this. Never. Seeing this sight, it just hurts me.”
