My perspective:
DMont's left leg plants and his foot slips, causing the hip to quickly abduct (pull out to the side away from his body). This motion puts the inner leg muscles (adductors pictured below) into a quick stretch.
When a muscle tears/stretches = strain.

So how bad is this?
We can clearly see him struggle to put weight through his leg. His walking is clearly impaired due to pain.
This tells me we are most likely looking at a Grade 2 - Grade 3 strain.
MRI will confirm extent of the damage.

How long will he be out?
Week 1 is probably off the table if it is a Grade 2 strain.
He COULD be back by Week 2 = 25 days away, but I'd say Week 3 or 4 is most likely scenario.
Grade 3 could be considerably longer, with surgery possible a trip to IR isn't off the table.

Will this linger?
Potentially. As with all strains the re-injury risk increases once a player is hurt. It helps that the adductors, unlike say a hamstring/quad, are less likely to be stressed with normal football activities.
With adequate recovery time, he should be okay.

So should I draft him?
@_NickWhalen would have told you no before the injury. Afterward, I tend to agree. I'm not big on taking players who are going to miss games before the season even starts.
