No excuse at this point for the Pac-12 Net to continue to set up shop in SF. It made no sense in the first place and it’s irresponsible to keep flushing exorbitant rent $$ down the toilet without any benefit to being in a city/region that couldn’t care less about college sports.
You can run a network from anywhere. Go to Phoenix. Go to Portland. Go anywhere with reasonable cost of living in the footprint. This isn’t complicated.
2012: “Being in SF will help the conference’s relationship with tech giants!!”
2020: Pac-12 Net is not on YouTube TV but the Big Ten Network is.

Anyways, it was a bad day for the conference, but it didn't have to be *this* bad. @wilnerhotline has the details as usual: https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/08/26/pac-12-headquarters-cuts-staff-in-half-in-the-aftermath-of-shutting-down-football-for-the-2020-season/
