istigatha is one of the many manifestations of shirk which has plagued this ummah, a practice which closely resembles the rituals of the pagans in which one approaches a shrine of a saint and beseeches him like they would beseech ﷲ for assistance
they internally humble themselves with the utmost humility and reliance upon this saint to answer their needs in times of hardship under the false pretense of that this saint is doing these miraculous acts under the permission of ﷲ
and they falsely analogize this act with like the calling of ones mother for help, when you ask your mother for some food are you humiliating yourself before her? are you stressing your heart with the utmost reliance to ask her for food?
The sharia completely rejects such acts and even the closes the doors of off to such acts by prohibiting the raising of graves and over venerating saints
ﷲ who has created and fashioned you who maintains every single atom within the universe, the one has the utmost perfect attributes is only deserving of such worship and all forms of worship and devotion, nothing besides him has any ability nor power to influence anything
even the pagans of the time of the prophet ﷺ knew that in times of hardship that none could save them except for ﷲ, and ﷲ describes this sort of invocation as making the religion sincere for Him in worship

“ضَلَّ مَن تَدْعُونَ إِلَّآ إِيَّاهُ”
