Y’all also fail to understand who it was that created the space for men to be shamed about their height. Men did that. We’re conditioned to believe that tall men = desirable, short men = undesirable which is not the case. All bodies are desirable.
The image that the entertainment industry pushes forth of the ideal man always has one consistent variable; they’re tall. The modeling industry and their height specifications are also indicative of this. We are conditioned by those industries to not find short men attractive.
However, using that problematic standard to vilify women is not it. Comparing fat shaming to making jokes about height is not it. Im not saying that short jokes are okay, but you’re all not understanding the actual weighting of these v different narratives.
Short jokes are satirical, not the same as the body shaming men and women (women especially) are subjected to on a daily basis. If you want to address body shaming address the actual industries that allow this narrative to exist. Jokes about short men r also trans exclusionary.
