taylor swift using her privilege and platform to help others: 2020 edition
this thread only includes the donations that taylor has made in the 8 months since 2020 started because if i wanted to make one that included all the donations she's made, it would end up looking like a book.
to help with reparations after the tennessee tornadoes in march, taylor contributed $1 million and encouraged her fan base to donate as well.

taylor donated funds to a local nashville music store that was struggling during the pandemic.
when the public's attention was on her because of the leaked kimye video footage (the footage that proved her innocent to claims that terrorized her for years), she chose to redirect their attention to charitable organizations that she herself had donated an undisclosed amount to
taylor's team received a complaint about similarities between her folklore album merch and another clothing company called The Folklore. not only did they amend the merch design, taylor also reached out and donated to the company.
taylor donated close to $40,000 to a London student to help with education expenses that worked towards her dream of becoming a mathematician.
taylor just recently sent copies of exclusive signed folklore cds to small record stores across the U.S., free of charge. this promoted those stores during the pandemic and provided them with attention from hundreds of fans.
