I am deeply saddened by the shooting of Blake, but we should try to remember that each case has its own individual circumstances. This man was wanted for sexual assault and domestic abuse, as well as he had a record of brandishing a firearm in bars while intoxicated.

He resisted arrest in the past and caused bodily harm to an officer. Had to be taken down by a k9. He’s had a firearm in his car in the past and was reaching to a similar spot when he opened the door after he was tazed and they tried to subdue him with non-lethal force.

I’m not sure what we are supposed to do if we are sexually assaulted and people can’t be brought in to face justice for their crimes? Do they just ask nicely? It doesn’t work that way. Shooting should always be a last resort, but he wasn’t just casually walking to his car.
