Below is a list of companies ACROSS ALL OF THE UK to stay away from (mainly marketing). They prey on the young and graduates. Make them work and don’t pay after they tell you the salary will go up to £30K after a year. They will tell you can reach manager position after a year

They also make you relocate if you have to and say they’ll give you a grant to help for start living costs which they don’t, so then you’ve wasted time and money. The list is VERY LONG so if you apply for a job, this list is alphabetical anyways, check if the company is on it

And some of these turn out to be D2D jobs and they’d make you pay for the equipment you need for the job. I worked for one of these companies ages ago and I quit without giving a notice period, and I got in hand with this list

And during the selection process if the job sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. Most of these would be like you’ll go up to £30K after a year then two years it can get up to £50K-£60K

ALSO I am not putting down the marketing industry at all. Legit marketing positions do exist, I work in marketing myself, but all these claim to be marketing when in reality they are not

Also another way to notice if a company is fake is the way their interview process works. After the first interview they’d be like you’ve made it on to the next interview, and it’ll literally be the next day and so on - they don’t take that quick for the next stage

ANOTHER HEADS UP some of these companies change their names after every 2-3 years after they’ve been exposed so they can continue scamming new people. ALL THESE COMPANIES MUST BE CLOSED DOWN

Just received this in my DM request, I googled the company and it talks about how people have experienced the same for this company too. The fact my thread doesn’t include ALL companies when there’s like 200 on the list is slightly worrying

Another tip: check the layout of the contract, most of these contracts looks very unprofessional and photocopied. Some have another companies name and they’d tell you to cross it out and change the name to their company. Here is an example of one

What’s worse is these companies above make you work from 9 in the morning till 9 in the night - imagine during winter - “field” jobs, WITH NO PAY - the thought of it sounds mentally exhausting
