saying fiction doesn't affect reality is a shit take that not only affects victims of csa and such, but it is also horrifically racist to say
yes. racist.

fictional depictions of black people (aka the mammy from tom & jerry cartoons, aunt jemima, uncle ben & many more) have negatively impacted the image of black people for quite some time.

birth of a nation reignited the KKK.

fiction doesn't affect reality, hm?
i think some of you niggas need to get a fucking grip on this because fine. sure. use that tired ass argument to defend the sick shit you consume. please, do enlighten me (don't. I don't care what justifications you have bro. debate your momma on this one).
but lmao. please use what little braincells you have to consider how historically, your argument does not and will never hold up. this doesn't stop at black people, either. in general, saying fiction does not affect reality is racist towards all BIPOC. there's several examples -
of racist stereotypes in media that negatively impacted BIPOC for many years. I'll probably link some stuff later this weekend (as examples) but:
1) This is okay to rt
2) debate your momma or your friends. i am not the one and i will block you on sight.
3) if you use this argument imo you're fucking racist on top of being a creep. check yourself.
4) once again: blocking on sight if you come on here debating me. i am not the fucking one and i am not sorry.
also, lastly, this argument also can affect lgbt ppl but that is not the highlight of this thread atm. please do not derail the conversation away from BIPOC in this thread
