9+ feet of surge is expected over a widespread area, including both urban and suburban neighborhoods.
The Civic Center and Millennium Park could expect to see at least 6 feet of storm surge.
This will cover playground equipment at the park, inundate the parking lots, and could make its way into the Civic Center.

As much as 6 feet is expected Downtown, where government buildings, churches, restaurants, banks, and businesses are located.
In suburban neighborhoods, water will cover one-story homes over a very large stretch. This is the type of surge that is life-threatening and unsurvivable.
