not that i’ve ever been particularly rational about medical stuff but being trans has really made me absolutely deranged, i live in constant fear of alienating the people who arbitrate whether or not i deserve care

the fact that we all know who has the power in these circumstances (not me!!) and that there is basically nothing i can do to change that is, hmm, extremely unfortunate given all the PTSD

just very aggravating that there is literally no version of being trans where other people do not exert an undue amount of influence over your life and bodily autonomy and so on

and then of course you log on and there are eight million posts from ~allies~ about kamala harris asking whether there are any laws allowing the government to regulate men’s bodies… just fun and interesting ways to get slapped in the face every single day of your life
