a thread on cql characters and the footie clubs they support

(in other words: lunchtime discussion where i described cql characters to mr. rhod, who bounced hard off the show, and he told me what they'd stereotypically be into, if they were into football)

nmj, described to mr. rhod as old-school, traditional, collective style of play, physically-minded, hard work, passion:

liverpool. suspicious of klopp at start, but now all in on the normal one. sunderland a possibility, but definitely supports the local team his dad did.

lxc, described to mr. rhod as looks like the embodiment of his posh class, is the embodiment of his posh class, but has a streak of rebellion:

arsenal. qiren is rugby and cricket man, six nations and the ashes. football was xichen's rebellion against that, esp because nmj liked

it. but he didn't feel right just picking up mingjue's club especially since it was so deeply tied for mingjue with memories of going to anfield with his dad, so positing a xichen who is a little older, who wants to rebel but feel PRINCIPLED about it -- arsenal in the 90's.
