There is no problem with anarchists talking about dialectical materialism, the issue is when you interpret it in the dogmatic way that was completely alien to Marx's work.
Here is what you need to understand about Marxian historical materialism.
1. Its not based on this dogmatic anti humanist conception of dialectics which suggests that dialectics are the driving force of societal transformation, infact Marx believed humans transformed society.
2. Through this dogmatic idea of dialectics being metaphysical, stagism as an idea comes to fruition. The idea that we need to develop society from stage x to y to z. This isn't actual marxism, because Marx engages in observational analysis, not fortune telling.
He isn't asserting that we must go from x to y. Or feudal society to capitalist society, but rather describing how that came to fruition because of the contradictions of feudal society and human alienation. Infact he saw the revolutionary potential of Russian peasants.
This stagist and metaphysical conception of dialectics is used to justify the perpetuation of state power because human beings are not seen as the agent of transformations and therefore the state must be utilized to lead the masses to where they need to go.
What you have to recognize that not even Lenin necessarily held to this dogmatic view of dialectics. Lenin early on saw dialectics as mechanistic but his writings evolved later on as he read more Hegel. When the bolsheviks debated dialectics, both the mechanistic dialecticians
and hegelians used Lenin to justify their position. Ultimately the Stalinist conception of dialectics prevailed and it was treated like an state religion used to justify the perpetual maintenance of power in the name of ultimately "achieving socialism."
