As this Team Mercedes account has hit 1700 followers, I believe I said that I would create a thread for @MercedesAMGF1's greatest races 😁

Thanks to everyone who has followed ♄

#F1 #TeamMercedes
France 1954

Winning on its debut, the Mercedes W196 (in the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio and Karl Kling) finished first and second.

Streamlined and innovative, It was the beginning of something beautiful.
Britain 1955

Leading home a Mercedes 1-2 to take his first career victory, Stirling Moss won the British Grand Prix at Aintree. It turned out to be the penultimate victory for the W196.
Bahrain 2010

Guess who's back! The 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix saw the team make a welcome return after buying Brawn. With an exciting lineup of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, the pair finished 6th and 5th respectively.
Malaysia 2010

It didn't take long for the Silver Arrows to score their first podium of modern times courtesy of Nico Rosberg. With some faster cars knocked out in Q1, Nico made the most of the opportunity.
China 2010

Taking his second rostrum in 4 races, Nico put Mercedes on the podium at Shanghai. As a result, the German moved up to second in the Standings.
Canada 2011

We've all heard of this race.

In what was, for the majority, a difficult season for Mercedes, the Canadian Grand Prix of that year saw Michael take a 4th-place finish. Using all of his experience in the wet, he drove a great race from 8th on the grid.
China 2012

"Yesssss! Come on!"

These were the words said on the radio by newly-crowned race winner Nico. Starting on pole, he drove a perfect race. It could've easily been a double podium for the team, if it weren't for a problem for Michael.
Monaco 2012

A few races after winning at Shanghai, Nico made his way onto the podium again at Monaco. The weekend is best remembered for Michael's pole lap on Saturday, where he unfortunately held a grid penalty.
Valencia 2012

Admit it. No matter who you are, the sight of one of the all-time greats returning to the podium after 6 years is something we all loved. That's exactly what happened at Valencia.
Monaco 2013

Generally, things were much better in 2013 for the Silver Arrows. (Except the tyre wear, but we don't talk about that 😉)

Nico won the Monaco Grand Prix for the first time, and Lewis finished his first race for the team at Monaco in 4th.
Hungary 2013

This particular race was special for two obvious reasons.

1. It was Lewis' first win for Mercedes
2. It ensures that he has still won a race in every season he has competed in.

He only had 21 victories heading into that weekend. He now has 88.
Malaysia 2014

When the V6 Hybrid era came about, Mercedes were yet to take a 1-2 since their return. This changed at the Malaysian GP, where Lewis led home Nico at @Petronas' home race.
Bahrain 2014

Not just one of the best races for Mercedes, but one of the best in modern F1. From lights to flag, the two drivers did battle under the lights. The race has since been dubbed as 'The Duel in the Desert.'
Russia 2014

When the cars had crossed the line at the Russian Grand Prix, a new Constructors' Champion was crowned in Mercedes-Benz. Even though that was 6 years ago, they've won every one since then too ♄
Abu Dhabi 2014

It went to the wire, but it was Lewis who became the champion of 2014, and the first Mercedes one since Fangio.

"Woohoo! World Champion!"
Canada 2015

2015 featured a large number of 1-2 finishes for Mercedes, one of these was in Canada. Lewis won his 4th race at the Circuit de Montreal on that occasion, his 4th in 7 races.
Britain 2015

He had to fight for it, but nothing could stop Lewis Hamilton from winning a 3rd British Grand Prix. The changeable conditions saw differences in strategy, and Mercedes got it spot-on.
USA 2015

Describing it as "the greatest moment of (his) life", Lewis took the 2015 Drivers' Championship at the Circuit of the Americas. With Nico coming home in P2, it was a great day in Mercedes history.
Abu Dhabi 2015

After Lewis won the title, Nico responded by winning the three closing races of the season, proving that there was more to come from him.
Australia 2016

In a race that looked like it was lost at the start, a well-timed red flag helped the team in terms of strategy. Nico led Lewis home in a 1-2 finish, beating out the Ferraris.
Belgium 2016

With one car on pole and one at the back, anything could've happened at Spa. Nico won the race from pole, and Lewis drove a great race as well, finishing 3rd.
USA 2016

In arguably one of his greatest drives of 2016, Lewis won the US Grand Prix to begin his fightback for the title. After a poor start, Nico recovered to P2.
Abu Dhabi 2016

Lewis won the race, but Nico won the title. As a race, it was a great performance by the team, who took their 19th win of the season - a record standing today.
Russia 2017

Nico had retired, and his replacement did not disappoint! On his 4th attempt, Valtteri Bottas won a Grand Prix, by under a second.
Spain 2017

This race was great for Mercedes, who recorded their 3rd win of 2017. The W08 (in the hands of Lewis Hamilton) beat Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari after a late overtake.

The pace was there for a double podium, but unfortunately Valtteri retired.
Canada 2017

The popular partnership of Lewis and Valtteri took its first 1-2 finish at the Canadian Grand Prix, where the team have gone well on many occasions.
Belgium 2017

Tomorrow will have been 3 years since this one!

After claiming a record-equalling pole, Lewis won the race on Sunday, using some clever tactics to keep the lead.
Italy 2017

Taking a 1-2 on their rivals' home turf was the perfect result, as Lewis led home Valtteri.

Interestingly, it was the first time someone had won back-to-back races in 2017.
Abu Dhabi 2017

Having won every race there since 2014, it's clear to see why the team like the Yas Marina Circuit so much. Valtteri took his third career victory, leading home the-then new 4-time champion in Lewis.
Germany 2018

Love really does conquer all! After starting 14th and 2nd, a 1-2 finish was a welcome result for the team at their home event. What a way to celebrate the signing of new contracts!
Italy 2018

Formation all the way home please... 😉

After a battle with Kimi, Lewis won the Italian Grand Prix. Valtteri finished in 3rd, rounding off a good weekend for the team.
Brazil 2018

Admittedly, he got a little lucky here, but staying out of trouble is part of the game. Lewis won the Brazilian Grand Prix after Verstappen tangled with Ocon, and with it, Mercedes became the 2018 Constructors' Champions.
Australia 2019

The W10 was really quick out of the blocks, and it's pace held true when F1 arrived in Melbourne. Valtteri won his first race since the finale of 2017, with Lewis in P2. It was the first of 8 consecutive wins for the team in 2019.
Monaco 2019

This race was for Niki ♄

Winning from pole, Lewis further extended his lead at the top. Valtteri crossed the line in 4th, and was promoted to 3rd after penalties.
Britain 2019

Much like Bahrain 2014, this race featured a really good battle between the Mercedes drivers. Valtteri started from pole, but Lewis won the race, which was his sixth at Silverstone.
Hungary 2019

This one was a strategic masterstroke.

After making an extra pitstop, Lewis hunted down Verstappen to win in Budapest.
USA 2019

'Lewis Hamilton - a 6-time Champion of the world' has a good ring to it, doesn't it?

The Brit won the championship, but it was Valtteri who won the race, his fourth of the season.
Styria 2020

The second race at the Red Bull Ring in this 2020 season was less crazy than its predecessor, but it was better for Mercedes. A 1-2 finish, coupled with Lewis being on pole by 1.2 seconds, was a great effort from the team.
Spain 2020

Setting a podium record, leading every lap, and just generally being in the zone - this was one of Lewis' best drives. With Valtteri also on the podium, it was yet more silverware for the Merc crew.
