Good morning & Happy #WednesdayWisdom! I thought I'd share some guiding principles that have helped me navigate through the social world! Maybe they can help some of you! 1/15-ish
YOU are here to help make the BRAND famous, the Brand is not here to help make you famous. (2/15-ish)
Steer clear of political and religious posts. I'd you'd like to share your views, have a one on one conversation. (3/15-ish)
Keep the content coming! Shoot for regular consistent posts & think about how you can add value. If you'd like, you can even organize it through a calendar or reminders! (4/15-ish)
I like these kids of posts best - 1) Videos 2) Gif/Boomerang 3) Photo 4) Text w/Emojis. Mix it up & have fun - the folks interested in you will appreciate it! (5/15-ish)
Engage with your followers - this is a fun place to have a conversation & people like to participate. Do you like being talked to, or do you like to talk WITH others?
(6/15-ish)

#BeMagenta (or whatever your company/brand represents) most importantly for me, this means get in there on a personal level. I appreciate all of YOU! Thank you for being here with me! (7/15-ish)

Think about your tweet/post. Clear & thought out text & copy can go a long way. Check your spelling too - Twitter ain't gonna add an edit button! (8/15-ish)
Remember - NEVER more than 3-4 hashtags/@ mentions in a post. 1-2 is preferred and don't Tag a bunch of folks just to get their attention or hope that they'll follow you - it can be annoying!
(9/15-ish)

Keep it short & sweet. Aim for 100 characters or less when possible. (10/15-ish)
Use relevant & searchable hashtags to get involved and add to conversations. Don't make random silly ones - no one is looking for #grandpassuspenders - and yes I checked, no one's looking for those except grandpa! (11/15-ish)
"Retweets" share & amplify a thought/information/message. "Likes" give 5 seconds of love on the internet...if you're RT'ing a Brand - put your personal spin on it so people know why! (12/15-ish)
Focus on your Community! Who's here? How can I help you? For me... if I can't/don't know the answer, I try to go find it or put you in contact with someone who does! (13/15-ish)

Always create your own content! Dead, pathetic stock photography or videos is for "Carriers" and "The Establishment". There's a mobile production company in the palm of your hands and we all want to see what YOU see & how YOU see it!
(14/15-ish)

And finally, your home, office, truck, store, family,
or kitchen counter is your stage! They should be part of the ingredients in your posts! TELL YOUR STORY! WE ALL WANT TO HEAR IT! #BeYourself - THX Des
