For anyone still holding onto a belief that Trump will be restrained by any law, precedent, or norm, pay attention to how quickly and easily the media and culture admit he repeatedly broke the law on live television last night but that none of it matters.

Privileged people with nothing to lose in a patriarchal, white-identity, kleptocratic state don’t care about laws unless it inconveniences or endangers them. They see this as a game. They admire Trump for his gall, his shamelessness. This is how it falls.
