While Diane is right to flag up these statistics, it's important to know what these figures often mean in reality so I'll share my own experience with @MPSRedbridge in Ilford.

I always make it a priority to do one or two ride alongs with my local teams every year. https://twitter.com/HackneyAbbott/status/1298304171117084674
From my last ride along late 2019: We stopped & searched this group of 5 men loitering outside a bookies on Ilford Lane.

1 was wanted for theft & other offences - the other 4 were released.

Technically that was a 20% success rate. https://twitter.com/khayerc/status/1209200336453459969
In a lot of cases, officers stop groups loitering in areas plagued with violence and drugs.

In a lot of cases, it's a similar story where e.g. a group of 10 was stopped and only one had a knife and the rest were released - only 10% success rate.
The alternative to this 10% success rate - one knife being found - is no stop and search and 0% success rate - no knife being found and seized.

I don't think residents living in areas plagued with drugs and violence want that...
Policing a populated, diverse, and complex city like London is not an easy job.

Politicians who voted for cuts have forced the police into becoming social workers, parents, & mental health specialists because of all the public services they cut to help their corporate friends.
