Most of the content that's shared on Facebook, is colourful. So changing your creative to grayscale can make it stand out from it's surrounding.

A simple trick to make images stand out more, is to increase the vividness. Either by increasing the exposure or saturation, or both.

4. Add some social proof
People are social creatures that value the opinions of others.
Your ad images are a great way to add social proof, by showing features, reviews or aggregated satisfaction ratings.
Make sure that your image stays within the 20% text rule.

Like reviews and satisfaction scores, you can add extra reasons to buy to your ad's creative.
I don't know if there's a name for it, but I like to call it "benefit borders" because they highlight additional benefits.
