oh there is also the "i'm not like the other girls" trope. our miss protagonist doesn't care about fashion and her appearance, not like that blonde curly bitchy girl with lipgloss who does nothing but be all over the male love interest

quick recap no one cares about. she's a shapeshifting dragon, the guy is part of a family of hunters who kill her people. it's now the middle of the night and she's in the car they use to hunt, he's taking her far away from her house to "talk", no one knows she even got out

at school he ignored her and she overreacted and said he treated her like a leper so when he gave her a note she destroyed it out of rage. then we find out on the first day of school, after they met, he asked the secretary for her address so he could go to her house unprompted

so basically she's crazy and he's a stalker

GOOD BYE she just asked him, once again, why was he at her house in the middle of the night and he said she's not like the other girls she's special and if she was like the other girls he wouldn't be there

they just kissed in a room filled with furniture covered in the skin of her people. apparently for her being horny is more important than the reminder of her people being t0rtured and k¡lled
