We all know Messi loves Barcelona from the bottom of his heart. He just can't stand seeing his club slowly sinking. The real question is: why is Barcelona sinking? Bad transfers, bad coaches, bad quality on the pitch... Where is the real problem?
You may already know it, but the problem comes from above the pitch. Bartomeu, Barcelona's current president, is criticized for plenty of reasons (for example the Pjanic-Arthur deal, which is really bad in every way except financially, was sealed just to save the club from debts)
Everyone agrees that his management is the main reason why Barcelona is stopping being "mes que un club". Unluckily, his contract runs out in 2021 and he won't quit by himself without having paid his debts. But with him still at the top of the club, next year will be a disaster.
Messi must be truly sad about this situation and he is the only one who can maybe make things happen. Being aware of that, he decided to put a transfer request, forcing Bartomeu out: seems like it's happening. The real question now is: Will Messi be quitting if Bartomeu leaves?
Messi doesn't want to leave his club imo. Messi is Barcelona and Barcelona is Messi. If Bartomeu is really resigning, then Messi will stay. If not, he could maybe leave the club. But i truly believe Bartomeu is now just forced to leave his post, the crisis has gone too far.
This thread is based on suspicions coming from an extremely complicated situation. I believe in it anyway, it does make so much sense for me, but I obviously understand that it could not be your opinion, so just looking forward to debate with you guys!
