One thing I have found interesting about being a parent is when do you introduce things to your children.
Both my girls went to the football as babies and have gone ever since, so that was easy.
We introduced both to the cinema and theatre very early, and again that was easy.

My five year old watched all of the star wars films (including the last one at the cinema) when she was four, and she had no issues. But I get the feeling she was too young to really grasp the big issues, so she

fine. Scary for her is separating of characters, not worlds being blown up.
Anyways, this weekend I took my 8 year old to see Fellowship of the Ring at the cinema. I didn't know if she would be bored (its nearly 3 hours long), confused, scared or excited.

Thankfully, while being scared at times, she loved it.
I suppose, this thread is just to say, you know your own kids and what they will sit through and enjoy. But the wider the exposure they get to things at a young age, the more they will want to do when they are older.
