Fancy a wee (not so wee) thread to help you get the lowdown on #Ferencvaros squad ahead of tonight's big game?

#Celtic #Fradi #ChampionsLeague
REBROV Sergei (Manager): Ex-Dynamo Kyiv, Spurs, & Ukraine forward Rebrov has won 2 NBI titles in-a-row with Fradi. Instilled a level of confidence & discipline missing under previous coach Thomas Doll. Prefers a 4-2-3-1 formation and has built a winning, if not exciting team.
DIBUSZ Denes (90): 2nd choice GK for the national team behind Peter Gulacsi of RB Leipzig. Good shot-stopper and generally commands his area well, however, can be suspect dealing with cross balls and has the occasional error in him.
GROF David (99) & BOGDAN Adam (1): Two ex- #Hibs keepers currently playing second fiddle to Dibusz.
LOVERENCSICS Gergo (8): the right back and Captain will likely miss the trip to Celtic Park through injury. Solid, dependable, and an inspirational character when on the pitch, his absence could be important.
CIVIC Eldar (17): Bosnian International left-back. More of a traditional left-back who prioritises defensive duties over getting forward. Decent crosser of a ball when he does venture forward and aerial threat at set-plays.
BOTKA Endre (21): Local boy, signed from rivals Honved in 2017, and understudy to Lovrencsics at right-back. Classic full back, comfortable on the ball with strong defensive qualities, and happy to provide attacking support.
BLAZIC Miha (25): Slovenian international centre-back. Regular in the heart of the Fradi defence since signing in 2017. Good in the air and rarely allows opponents to get passed him.
KOVACEVIC Adnan (15): Another Bosnian international. Signed in the summer from Korona Kielce and put in an assured performance on his Fradi debut against Djurgarden in the previous round.
HEISTER Marcel (26): Attack minded German left-back / left wing-back and alternative option to Civic.
KHARATIN Igor (14): Athletic Ukrainian midfielder and mainstay at the heart of the team. Effective ball winner with good distribution, similar in style to Nir Bitton. Does the simple and non-sexy side of the game very well.
SIGER David (18): Hungarian International and usual partner to Kharatin in the midfield. Box-to-box player with a powerful and dangerous shot, decent range of passing, and more than willing to do the defensive side of the game.
SOMALIA (7): Brazilian midfielder who returned to Ferencvaros in January after 5 years away. Tidy, creative, and more attack-minded than Kharatin and Siger.
ISAEL (88): Another Brazilian midfielder who operates mainly in the AMC role behind Boli with a licence to drift left or right. Direct, skilful, and always on the look-out for the killer pass.
SKVARKA Michal (92): Neat and tidy midfielder used mainly as a sub last season by Rebrov.
LAIDOUNI Aissa (93): Recent signing from Romanian side Voluntari, made his debut as a 2nd half sub vs. Djurgarden. Limited time to show what he can do, but did have one good run and shot.
UZUNI Myrto (77): Albanian International winger and big money summer signing from NK Lokomotiva. Had a quiet debut against Djurgarden although early impressions suggest he is a quick, direct, and skillful player.
TOKMAC Nguen (10): Star man and biggest threat to Celtic’s chances of progression. Explosive and direct winger who likes to isolate his defender and run at the back line. Deadly with both feet and has an unpredictable playing style. Scored 3 in 2 games so far this season.
BOLI Franck (70): Target man and central striker. Effective in the air and on the ground, deadly in the penalty area, and good link man. Yet to score this season but did provide an assist for Tokmac’s 2nd against Djurgarden.
VARGA Roland (97): Cult hero and old-fashioned centre forward. 2nd choice forward behind Boli and used mainly as an impact sub where his physical presence could cause Julien and Ajer problems.
SIGNEVICH Mikalay (20): Belorussian International forward who stands at 6ft 4” tall – likely to start on the bench against Celtic with his physical attributes called on in the later stages.
ZUBKOV Olesksander (11): The Ukrainian right-winger missed the Djurgarden game through injury and is a doubt for the Celtic match. Similar to Tokmac, Zubkov is quick and direct and looks to commit his defender. Capable of moments of brilliance.
BATURINA Roko (20): Young Croatian forward singed in the summer from Dinamo Zagreb. Highly rated and already dubbed the next Davor Suker. Yet to make his Fradi debut
*Signed, not singed - I cannot confirm whether he is a good singer or not!
