5 Reasons why your Twitter Following is not growing (Thread)

1. Brand

You can't market anything if you don't know who you are as a Brand. It all starts here.

Example:

McDonalds is Happy/Joy filled Brand

So there's Clowns, people smiling, a Yellow Logo, etc in their marketing

2.Targeting

Most people dont have the right audience on their page. As a result, your content wont get engagement.

Example:

Pretend you're a Bike brand and all your followers only care about Cookies

No matter what you Tweet, you wont get engagement because they dont care

3. Relationships

You need to build relationships with your followers. People engage more with people they feel like they know.

Most people haven't even attempted something like speaking 1 on 1 to a majority of their followers.

You're a stranger to them.

So they won't engage.

4.Content

This is what most people talk about. But it gets a lot deeper.

There's a formula to what type of content you need to post.

Also people simply just don't know how to Tweet. There's Plenty of strategies to this

5.Distribution

You NEED distribution behind your content. You as many eyes on your content as possible

Distribution helps in other ways as well

It can act as a form of social proof and make you look more credible. Which increases your engagement.
