Recently I revisited Misery and Kathy Bates it's just so damn good. It still a good damn movie. I still wonder why going to brake the legs and not following the book. Maybe because is more gruesome, most likely.
I don't feel Silence of the Lambs as horror, more like a thriller. But I get the point. Also I haven't watch The Exorcist in such a long time, maybe in Halloween I will watch it. Miss you Mr. Von Sydow.
Predator 2 is so bad, like, it's not even worth to watch it, you don't lose anything, well, just time. I forget that some label Alien franchise as horror, I know it's fitting, Prometheus is the most close we have seen of Lovecraftian horror, such a good movie.
Death Becomes Her is so amazing. Love how Isabella Rossellini is the 90's depiction of beauty. Ok... this list has Jurassic Park as... like in horror... why, tho? OMG, in this list is The Good Son... baby Elijah Wood, damn.
Natural Born Killers??? HORROR? Is because how two wayward lovers likes to kill? I watch it like three years ago and I got so exasperated, hahaha, can't stand it. Sev7n is more thriller than horror, tho. Also more in the neo-noir genre.
I really need to watch again The Craft, it's been years since the last time I seen it. This list make me remember Mimic by Guillermo del Toro, it's actually really good. I even own that movie on DVD, great great movie.
Fallen, obviously is on this list, recently I tweet about and how it mesmerized my 9 year old brain. 2000's Godzilla is SO BAD, SO BAD, when I watch it on theaters I laughed a lot. The Blair Witch Project, I do remember how it blow everyone mind and how the witch never appears.
And it was bullocks how everyone was becoming insane thinking it was ACTUAL REAL FOOTAGE, I know, crazy. I had the fortune of watch it on theaters, I was 10 years old and I couldn't sleep for a straight week.
OMG, that same year was released The Haunting, I even owned that DVD and BR, I love that movie so damn much. Funny story, this is how I got to know Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House and yes, you guess, I didn't sleep like entire two weeks thanks to that book.
The Sixth Sense have a really special space in my heart. I remember when I watch it with my parents, we weren't able to watch on theaters, can't remember why, but we rent it on blockbuster, the 90's early 00's, I know, I know.
It's really special to me since it helped me to stop being scared of ghost, since, yeah, I watched a lot of horror, so, it help to enjoy even more the genre. HOWEVER I get really easily scared, and sometimes I can't even sleep thinking about ghost, ghouls, etc.
Sleepy Hollow was so damn boring, I remember when I watch and I can't stand it. But the art is really cool, I actually like the color palette of the entire film, tho. Ok, THE NINE GATE, OH DEAR LORD, I WAS OBSESSED WITH THAT MOVIE. YOU DON'T HAVE IDEA.
By the time, I was like 10 years old? I'm just, omg, @herrozzy actually 99 was a damn good year for HORROR. OMG Sixth Sense, The Blair Witch Project, The Ninth Gate, even Sleepy Hollow, interesting, maybe. Back on the Ninth Gate, I LOVE IT, by the time I didn't have idea what>
>mystery, detective plots were at the time, but I do love how Depp's character was looking for two rare demonic books that actually OPEN THE DOORS OF HELL... LIKE HELLOW? Also all these books, and clues, even the superstition in the movie was supreme. WAS AMAZING.
I know American Psycho is always labeled as horror. I think that maybe thanks to this movie and Scream prior to it in the late 90's was what revitalize slasher movies. And American Psycho, for me, actually rewrites slasher genre in another whole new perspective.
What Lies Beneath is also so damn good, I think is one of the few times that we see Harrison Ford as the antagonist. You should watch it, I like how in the end the asshole is Ford's character. The Cell is one of the most stunning horror movies of 00's decade. PERIOD.
Recently I remember The Others, I watch that movie, in the theaters, actually, I liked so much that even my dad gifted me the DVD on one of my birthdays <3. Everyone should watch it's GOOD. The plot twist is SUPERB.
I don't know why but I actually like Jeepers Creepers, I don't have idea why but I do like that movie, hahha, I remember that I won some tickets for the premiere in a radio station contest and when I dad had to go for the tickets because I was like 11 or some shit, lmao.
I'm not going to lie to you I own the DVD of Jeepers Creepers, and the next one is Thirteen Ghost, I own that DVD too, that movie is so bad but the ghost art concept is INSANE and I love it. We need a remake of that clusterfuck of a movie.
THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES FUCKED ME UP, I watch it on a bus ride and I was so afraid that a Mothman would visit me, SADSAAF, I can't even, I know it has a happy ending, but LOL, NOPE.
I can't label the masterpiece of Reign of Fire as horror, recently I watch on my tv and I had such a good time. Signs, OH DEAR LORD, SIGNS, there was Night marathon on some weird channel, and watch it, I don't know why, I always end up enjoying that movie.
OMFG, THE RING! Ok, I was super obsessed with this movie, you don't have idea. When it came out and watch it I was like OOP, DAMN, I LOVE IT, when it was released on DVD I bought it in that same day, you know, how I get my dad to buy it for me? I got 10 in all my exams for it.
Ok, I'm so grateful for this movie, principally because this one introduce me to Asian horror film movies and it was like a whole new world to me. No, for real, I was so damn askjaklsfj NO IT WAS A THING! For me was a revelation. It was so damn big, also frustrating.
Because IT WAS SO DAMN DIFFFICULT TO GET A FUCKING COPY! But Ringu? TALE OF TWO SISTERS? OMG, I just, this thread really is taking me to memory lane.
28 Days Later was the movie that make me watch zombie movies, thanks to it I started to watch the classic one. So thank you 28 Days Later. Gothika is a damn good movie and needs more love. I SAID IT.
Rear Window is a wack movie and I was so stupid and obsessed with Depp that I have the DVD. I was young, guys. Waiiiiiiiiiit THE PAN'S LABIRYTH IS CONSIDERED HORROR? WAT? Is more like dark fantasy, this list is so damn weird.
