Last Friday Downing Street swung into action, apparently @BorisJohnson had cut short his holiday, journalists were being briefed I was responsible for exposing his whereabouts. What happened post Downing Street trying to smear me was that this story appeared in a number of journals & broadcast outlets, there has been a social media storm with a barrage of threats being directed towards me. This has been the direct response as to what Downing Street did.

It is a serious situation when the apparatus of Government can be deployed in this way to deflect attention from their own issues and attack an opposition politician. We should now have an apology from number 10 and @BorisJohnson
