It is a sickness. It is a societal rot that runs deep. We should not be used to watching black people murdered by police. We should not be used to watching a young man kicked in the head. We should not be used to checking someone's tweets to decide whether to laugh at them bleed.

People are hurting. People feel forgotten. People are angry. & They might not understand eachother's pain, or may have different reasons for it. But that alone doesn't cause this. Thinking others deserve pain because you feel it too - that causes this. When did we stop listening?
