Thread of random #Patriots thoughts after eight practices:

Would not be surprised if the Pats are exploring contract extensions with JC Jackson and Adam Butler after their camps. Both have done nothing but improve their stock. Balling out.
N’Keal Harry is moving CBs with his releases more over the last few practices. Vital to his success. With his size, if N’Keal can move CBs off their spots and get vertical upfield, he can set up fades/back shoulders. Not as much about the top of the route for N’Keal as the LOS.
RBs Damien Harris & J.J. Taylor are taking advantage of Sony Michel and Lamar Miller’s stints on PUP. Harris has a good initial burst, gets north/south, and can catch the ball. Taylor makes plays both as a runner & receiver with quickness/jump cuts. “Little Dion”
#Patriots OT depth has been the surprise of camp. Big jumps for Eluemunor and Cunningham and sixth-round pick Justin Herron might be a player. Eluemunor’s focus on conditioning this offseason is paying off. Strong run-blocker, + athlete.
Once the Pats defense started scheming some late in Monday’s session, pressure on the QB ramped up. Uche (two sacks), Winovich, Butler, Wise and others will be relied on heavily to generate pass rush.
Second-year DT Byron Cowart is emerging as an interior run stopper. His play strength and first-step explosiveness make him a difficult guys to handle whether he’s two-gapping or shooting gaps. #Patriots very pleased with his progress.
Theme of camp so far is guys in year two in the system improving: Winovich, Harry, Gunner, Harris, Froholdt, Eluemunor, Cunningham, Cowart, Brooks and others got better this offseason. Testament to work they put in during the long layoff w/no team activities.
Question for #Patriots offense will not be if they have enough weapons. We have seen signs that with the Cam adaptions and these skill players they can produce big plays. Consistency and getting in-sync will be the question. They’ve had flashes of great stuff.
QB coach Jedd Fisch is getting a lot of praise from everyone you talk to. Working on Cam’s footwork/understanding of the playbook, helping McDaniels w/building scheme around mobile QB, even was calling plays in Tuesday’s practice. #Patriots are very happy to have Fisch.
One more: wonder what the future holds for 2019 second-round pick Joejuan Williams. He has looked good at times, but not standing out in a room full of dudes. A transition to safety as a TE stopper? Not sure where he fits in.
