Probably very long tweet: Concept for #FallGuys party mode. You can have parties in fall guys, you and three of your friends going through the game together, but I believe to best utilize this feature, there should be a(n optional) mode that you can play if you’re in a party:
Party mode, this would have exclusively team games, some of them would be variants on existing solo games, some would be existing team games, some would be entirely new (will provide concepts in this thread) you are always on a team with the same people, whoever is in your party,
This means you can curate your team, which would stop with much of the annoyance of normal team games, additionally, your team is assigned a color at the start of the show, it will be the same the whole way through, it will not change.
Everyone on your team would get the victory reward, I don’t think it would be too unbalanced to make it a crown, but if that’s a concern, you could implement a few sets of cosmetics that can only be earned by winning a party mode show, everyone on your team would get the same
Item, so that if you play another round, you could all look stylish & match. Now onto possible new games, I’ve thought a few through, and made a (very rough) sketch to showcase some ideas for a final round: king of the pyramid, it would play when there are 2-4 teams remaining
And it would go something like this: each team starts with a score of 0, at the bottom of a pyramid, each team has to climb through a series of obstacles to get to the top, additionally, every player is extremely bouncy, walking into someone is akin to walking into those bouncy
Donut things, it will push you backwards, grabbing also pushes further back. The team that wins is whichever teams score reaches 20 (possibly 30?) first, your score goes up by 1 for every 1 second every member of your team is on the platform at the top of the pyramid
Your score will not go up if someone from another team is also on the platform. The platform at the top of the pyramid is made of that slippery pink goo, meaning if another player hits you, you are likely to fall, it has bridges to it made of the hex-a-gones, which will
Regenerate after 3-5 seconds of being gone, skilled players can try to jump onto them and then quickly back to the platform to make it so other teams cannot get across. Now I will share my concept for some obstacles that could appear on the pyramid
You start off with normal obstacles, wrecking balls, pushers (marked orange), hammers, etc. The first new obstacle I introduce is the salmon ladder (marked blue) you need to jump from one of the platforms to the other, but you can’t make the jump without timing your grab to grab
Onto the edge (like in the whirly-gig) and pulling yourself up, once at the top you will be presented with two options, go through a short maze to attempt to reach the other side of the pushers, or jump across the pushers (marked in green) this would be faster but more difficult,
As timing the speed of the pushers and your jumps would require skill, and falling would set you quite far back. Once you make it across, a player will need to stand on the red button, when they do, the platform (brown) will appear, allowing team members to go up, once your team
Is up, they stand on a secondary res button to make the platform appear for you to join them, after that they need to go past more pushers, until they get to the final stretch, they will have to go up the slippery pink goo with those bouncy donut things going back and forth
(Very similar to slime climb) once at the top they can jump across the hex-a-gones and attempt to secure their victory. If a player falls they can exit out of the door (marked in purple) and climb up the slippery pink slime once again.
