The zealots undertaking this revolutionary action are not mere agitators. They know what they're doing. They are operating on a belief that destroying the existing society is the only way to force people into one that will be equitable, built upon the ashes of ours.

It is of utmost importance that you realize that the people setting these fires aren't your Wokish friends or bourgie ideologically captured Brooklyn journalists. They're hardened radical activists seeking a violent means to foist a revolution. They are planning and executing it.

Their underlying philosophy is related to Critical Social Justice, or informed by it, but far more radical and violent. They are not peaceful protesters. They're using peaceful protesters for the PR to do intentional mayhem.

The underlying belief system is, like all such things (e.g., Marxism) fantastical and magical in nature. The belief is that if they get their revolution, their ideology will magically lead to being able to build an equitable (ethno-communist) society and that it will finally work

They do not know how this equitable society will be achieved because they think it is a natural consequence of getting rid of the existing "systems of power" (with fire, apparently) and then having the right ideology. Equity Utopia will emerge by magic from these things.

When someone says that "peaceful protests gave way to this," they're confused or lying. This is intentional, planned, and purposed, and the people doing it know what they're doing and why they're doing it. They're using the protesters and sympathetic media as cover. Useful idiots
