Aaaand the Republican National Convention opens night 2 "Land of Promise" with some blatant transphobia
All justified by the First Amendment, something something freedom of religion.

"The radical left's god is government power," says Cissie Graham Lynch (??)
The next speaker said the radical left has dragged the Democrats so far left they no longer care about the working man...

The disconnect is unfathomable. What do they think the left, as a *very broad* ideology, cares about?
President Trump has "done more for the unborn than any president in office," according to the current speaker (I missed her name)
Apparently the most vulnerable Americans are the ones who haven't been born yet

Hmmm
Next up is Nicholas Sandmann, the MAGA hat kid.

There's a lot of truth in the unethical media practices surrounding Sandmann, but his speech is a clear rant against cancel culture and the mainstream media that he says unfairly targets Trump
Its clear the convention—which branded itself as being forward-looking & hopeful—is about stirring up fears about the radical left, about a vindictive & vicious Democrat Party & about how Trump is there to save the day

In short, it's a Trump base fan-service and nothing more
It's pretty poor strategy following a Democratic convention focused on uniting a divided American public & bringing swing moderates to vote blue.
