As of today I am no longer a member of @BlackVisionsMN. Black Visions is no longer my political home, it does not represent me, my values, my vision for Black liberation, and as a resident of this city since birth, I feel like it does not accurately represent Black Minneapolis.

My internal battle of whether or not to remain in the org has not been a principled struggle, it’s been me ignoring my gut feelings, my morals and values as an Black queer person, and disregarding the valid concerns and critiques of community that I trust.

I am grateful for the things I’ve learned and experienced being a part of this org. But I no longer resonate with the actions of this org, the methods being used, nor agree with the recognition Black Visions is receiving.
