Hey, Will-Kankakee, before you blame the governor, here’s what’s responsible for new restrictions:
1 Not wearing masks in public or distancing
2 Businesses not enforcing #1 (same ones that will cry about having to close now)
3 College$ & schools pretending they could safely open

That said, I feel bad for all who did the right things, including small businesses diligent about enforcement & teachers who spoke out against obtuse school boards, fighting for the safety of remote learning & time to adequately prepare for it. It could have been so much better.

4. Youth sports leagues & travel teams, a multi billion dollar industry that lied to parents about safety. MLB has struggled to stay viable with extensive testing & precautions. You think your $1,000-a-kid team can manage safety or will even try?

BTW if you’re a business in Kankakee area whose employees never wore masks & breathed on me and/or my food, you lost my business forever & you deserve to fail. If you’ve been complying, I’m happy to get takeout & continue to support you. Most have been great; some have not.
