Succumbing to their old practices,Pmln opposition to Anti-Money Laundering Bill should come as no surprise as they had literally legalised money laundering by passing Economic Reforms Act 1992 by allowing Foreign Currency Transfers in & out of Country.

Pmln & PPP leadership blaming Pti using NAB for arm twisting carries no significance as both parties during their tenure did nothing to mend the lacuna they loathe NAB for, a judgment clouded by allegiance to serve the personal interests.

NAB was created by Gen Musharraf but the fact that his successor regimes made no amendments in NAB law in-spite of enjoying unanimity on various other constitutional amendments,stands true. PPP Govt Started Eyeballing Pmln by appointing Ex MPA as NAB Chief,Pmln reacted but just.

Upon the removal of Deedar Hussain Shah,PPP Govt appoints a new Chairman NAB,apparently without binding consultation after 18th Amendment(that by the way was passed unanimously & praised by all Parties in the Parliament back then).

Both Parties are responsible for not amending NAB laws pertaining to lacuna they complain,instead they kept awarding key positions to their trusted circle. Pmln was only interested In removing restriction limit serving Prime Minister more than 2 terms via 18th amendment.

Let’s just say it was only coincidental The Then NAB Chief enjoyed close relationship with Pmln leadership & close friend of Nawaz Sharif,Mian Nasir Janjua & More.

Let’s just also say it was also Coincidental The Pmln Appointed NAB Chief had “some reputation” while serving as Secretary Interior by declaring himself “unemployed” & also some as Add Secretary Commerce,Pointed out by Majid Agha of PPP.

Given another chance to appoint New NAB Chief while enjoying “Enough required Majority” Pmln decides not to amend NAB law they now term “Arm Twisting”...They just went ahead with Appointment & Nothing more with PPP onboard,of course.

It’s imperative to mention NAB Chief can not be removed during their turn after an appointment has been made & ratified by The Parliament after the consultation with Opposition Leader. Any Amendment in constitution requires 2/3rd Majority Pti unfortunately doesn’t enjoy.

From Providing Legal Cover to Money Laundering to Bringing Pakistan on the verge of FATF Grey List to Using Anti-Money Laundering Bill as a bait to adjust to their “Comfort Zone”,It’s comfortably established that the #FlopOpposition is about their Personal Interests,not National.
