We have not reckoned with our failures in the early days of the AIDS crisis. So many COVID parallels:

The Trump administration has restricted interviews of its top experts like Dr Fauci, because they don’t want them telling Americans what bad shape we are in.
Sound familiar? In the 1980s the Reagan Administration blocked journalists from interviewing CDC scientists about AIDS.
