One of the last acts of the Varadkar Govt was to award the National Broadband Contract, This contract was eventually awarded to the David Mc Court cartel, This cartel includes Dennis O Brien with whom FG have a long and chequered history #Moriarty

During the late stages of the negotiations of the NBP the then Minister Dennis Naughten was forced to resign due to his late night secret meetings and private dinners with David McCourt, Upon his resignation he was replaced by Richard Bruton.

Richard Bruton is brother of John Bruton who was Taoiseach when Michael Lowry as Minister for Communications awarded the second mobile phone licence to Dennis o Brien, Judge Moriarty later found o Brien had bribed Lowry with up to £1mil for his assistance in getting the licence.

Richard Bruton "regardless of the Naughten resignation" still awarded the contract to the McCourt/o Brien cartel which is worth 3/5bil and if its like the NCH could cost even more and with o Brien involved its possible it will.

Today the Govt released the details of the NBP contract and of its 50 schedules 13 were fully redacted , 16 were partially redacted and just 21 were fully released, Anyone who knows the history between FG and Dennis o Brien would not be surprised to see most of it been redacted.

Currently Justice Brian Cregan is conducting an investigation into the sale by IRBC of Siteserve/Actavo to o Brien yet the FG Govt still award him a €3/5bil state contract and redact the details.
The Moriarty Tribunal findings have yet to be investigated by the Gardai.
