A game where the DM has guests come in and play the bosses in the major fights... thoughts?
Obviously the guest would kind of be on rails...but their actions in combat, their ideas...I think it would end up being a big challenge for the PCs.
All this to say.... let me play a guest roll against your PCs as a big bad and fight them.
I mean...come on....what kind of villain do you need? I can do it. Guy that was wronged his whole life and snapped? On it. Guy that is too afraid to let go of the power they& #39;ve killed to get? That& #39;s me. Guy that wants to just watch the world burn? Who else but Matt?
I can be a dragon. I& #39;m the fucking lizard king.
Let me do what you might be too afraid to....I& #39;ll bring them to the brink. I& #39;ll show them real stakes.

Barring all that...look...I get it...there& #39;s a lot at stake there. Could really screw up your game if I kill them all... sure. how about this... I& #39;ll come play a throw away NPC. That& #39;s right...I& #39;ll be an Actual NPC. No part is too small.
Quest giver? I got em. Shopkeeper? Kajit has wares. Cabbage Salesman? MY CABBAGES!

You want me to sweeten this deal? I& #39;ll talk @d20monkey into coming in too and we& #39;ll play NPCs that fight like an old married couple all the while dropping plot cues only to find out we& #39;ve been dead for 400 years and we& #39;re actually friendly litches.
