not to be cheesy but that trope where character a is looking at a beautiful view and they’re like “oh it’s beautiful” and character b softly replies “yeah” but they’re gazing tenderly at character a when they say it...... (through tears) anyway i just think it’s neat

i can’t prove it but the “character looks at the object of their desire with so much unspoken longing in their eyes while the object of their desire is completely oblivious to it” trope is the reason i struggle every day

“what if character b dazedly whispers ‘you’re beautiful’ then blushes when they realize they’ve said it out loud” “consider character a catches them staring & smiles shyly before looking away or they tease character b with a ‘hey, ur staring’” “what if this is when they CONFESS”

its so singularly hilarious to me that i used to scoff at romantic tropes like these when i was a teen but now as an adult im like “if someone were to gaze tenderly at me right now i would seriously not hesitate to black out”...... that’s growth!
