I will reconsider my stance on self-diagnosis iff 4 of the 6 following criteria are met:

1.) My three mental health doctors agree about what my diagnoses are

2.) All new research on ND populations is done in an ethical and unbiased manner
3.) A peer-reviewed scientific study in a reputable journal shows significant differences between professionally diagnosed and self-diagnosed patients (demographic differences, e.g. race, gender, or age, don't count)
4.) I hear a reasonable argument for why the harms of self-dx outweigh the benefits

5.) The diagnostic criteria for neurodevelopmental disorders are revised to be (1) less biased and (2) not based on a behavioral paradigm that inappropriately describes the underlying condition.
6.) Healthcare, including access to diagnostic services, is made universally available. This means affordable prices and less than 3 month wait times.

If diagnosis for ND conditions is really as easy, accessible, objective, and unbiased as people claim, these should not be hard.
If you can't demonstrate at least 3 / 6 of these are true and provide evidence, then don't argue with me about self diagnosis.
