reasons why you should read tgcf before the donghua is released!!

tgcf, otherwise known as heaven official's blessing, is a novel written by mxtx [author of mdzs] so far it only has a manhua (WHICH IS INSANELY BEAUTIFUL, if u dont like reading that much check it out) but an anime/donghua is in the works rn

it's slowburn. like REALLY slowburn. 800 years of yearning slowburn. if u have read mdzs and know how long it is, think even worse than mdzs. there's also a few plot twists (ones that actually make sense) that make it

it also involves the red string of fate. i am a fan of uwma [until we meet again] so this made me really happy when i read it.

xie lian, the main character, is a crown prince who turns into a god. then he does the dumbest shit possible and ends up being banished from heaven too many times #HeavenHatesTheGays

hua cheng's a weirdo who has cute deadly butterflies and is technically evil but no he's not

the ghost realm has a similar set up to the studio ghibli movie Spirited Away. the ghosts are also the best characters & are insanely funny.

qi rong is a crybaby goofy goober ghost who is only part of the "iconic 4 ghosts" for the headcount because no one actually likes him. he has the funniest swears and calls xie lian a dog fucker. this is how he was introduced

there is a devil baby named cuocuo. not sure if i should've included this because it's not even important but good for him!

ling wen is a he/him lesbian. i won't elaborate too much on this on this but ling wen uses he/him pronouns sometimes and is a lesbian. it's pretty much canon.

qingxuan is the best character of existence. we need more qingxuans in the world. qingxuan is also gay and uses she/him pronouns.

all the characters who are "morally evil" are still not hated even by the gods/heavenly officials and genuinely theres only one bad guy in this book and he's a loser

the heavenly officials are all so stupid and get into fights a lot. entertaining 10/10 mu qing and feng xin in particular.

black water is a really cool character. i will also not elaborate on this because his character is full of SPOILERS

well, lastly, i hope u all read this bc its truly beautiful and it's not the shortest novel ever but it is WORTH IT. also stay tuned for the donghua
