Google 1015 Boulevard SE. I’m listening to a man describe that address as a location that will “be a good location one of these days.”

Atlanta twitter I feel you will have feelings on this.
The comment comes from a lawyer repping a developer who is asking for a hardship property tax break for a proposed apartment bldg
This is in Grant Park literally on Beltline
Seeking property tax break worth $3.3 million over 10 years

Developer Johnson Bazzel says they’re going to have to put in some kind of parking that’s expensive
Buried parking.
Ah also the sidewalk is overgrown such that a 6’4” man can hardly walk down it
Board member Kyle Lamont points out that this is in GRANT PARK on the BELTLINE
Board member Tom Tidwell, a courtroom lawyer, cross-examines Johnson Bazzel. It is an actual cross-examination.

"Demand for housing in this submarket is incredible," Bazzel says
Board member Sam Bacote is like: Wait did you mean to answer like that?
This would improve the tax base there (ie, the city/county would get $$$ in property taxes that they're not getting now.)

But the flip side is always the question: would they develop it anyway?
Bazzel says he reckons it would be developed within 10 years if they don't do it. Possibly within five.
