Woodward made a promise to OGS that he would bring in Sancho if United reached top 4.
Solskjær wanted all signings to be done within 7th of September. Ed is still confident that he can deliver on the promise. United WILL make a bid for Sancho in time to bring him in by then.
After talks with Villa over Jack Grealish, Woodward asked OGS about alternatives. He wanted Grealish and gave no alternatives. When Real didn't finalize the van de Beek deal, Solskjær made him the alternative.
United made contact with van der Sar. Available for £35M, but a straight up deal (no installments). United have now made contact with van der Beek's agent about his future. He is currently talking with both Real and Barcelona. United waiting for players decision.
Manchester United have also made contact with Villareal over Pau Torres, but Villareal wants £60M (!).
United will now wait to see what will happen to Smalling. If he stays, United will not buy a CB this summer. Roma offer rejected.
There are no doubt that United will step up their transfer activity and will try to have two signings ready before 7th of September. United's budget for 2020 is £150M, but if deals go over installments, only 2020 payout will go on budget for 2020.
