seijoh discourse on the tl again... yes i will speak again you cannot stop me. a motherfuxking RANT THREAD since ppl seem so fixated on the "seijoh didn't make it to nationals so they're weak" notion:
so let's start where ppl doubt them the most. their STRENGTHS. ppl acknowledge inarizaki as one of the strongest teams in the nationals. hinata happened to stop osamu's spike using mattsun's technique (im too lazy to look for ss if you have read the manga i literally do
not have to give you a proof lmfao). hinata acknowledged mattsun as one of the blockers he NEVER wanted to face on court.
hinata is a pro player now. mattsun is a funeral home employee. he did not go pro like hinata did. while post time skip hinata will definitely not be intimidated by hs mattsun, what's to say if mattsun pursued vb as his career he wouldn't be AS good as hinata?
do we have enough canon material to judge their strengths now? absolutely not. but what we do have is seijoh was ALWAYS intimidating on court. mattsun would possibly have blocked miya twins multiple times if he could. oikawa would be having a similar battle with atsumu like
kageyama did on court. watari is literally the blueprint of the libero's toss. noya has only ever acknowledged watari and yaku as most capable liberos he has had the pleasure of playing against.
also please. like PLEASE. after seeing iwaizumi's hs stats, after iwaizumi being the only one to break dateko's iron wall, after chp 395, after iwaizumi literally becoming jpn national team's AT.. do not even embarrass yourselves implying everyone except oikawa was incapable.
someone not going pro =/= they were weak. it's actually perpetuates a harmful notion? i am a writer. i may not ever go into the publishing industry. does that mean im less passionate about my writing? does that mean im not good at it? lol my god complex begs to differ
go cry about it. also i had made this thread a while ago. i talked about how no one in the team really stood out bc they blended together seamlessly, driven by their captain who orchestrated every move so every spike and every receive were nothing but perfect
the thread. don't want to go on a rant spree about the same thing again https://twitter.com/ruIethecourt/status/1279463456949694464?s=19
if seijoh was a team who gave karasuno and dateko and strzw a really REALLY hard time, idk how do you come to the conclusion that they wouldn't last in the nationals past day 1.
either 1. you're too obsessed with the "seijoh weak seijoh didnt make it to nationals boo" idea to let go of it or 2. we have consumed different versions of. haikyuu.
tl;dr call seijoh weak again and i will remove all the layers from your maslow's hierarchy of needs
