I’ve seen a lot of “FireTerry” hashtags over the last 24 hours. The thought from some is that coaching is why the Blazers are losing in the playoffs. Some think it falls mainly on roster construction. I decided to dig into the playoff rosters dating back to the 2013-14 season. 1/
Below is a thread of every player on those rosters, with the teams they’ve played for post Blazers, how many games they’ve played (GP) and how many games they’ve started (GS). This is looking at regular season games. Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we? 2/

So lets break this down:
In the past 7 seasons, there have been only 2 guys who were on a Blazers playoff roster who also made an All Star team (whether in Portland or after they left) Damian Lillard and Lamarcus Aldridge.
9/
Of the players who have been on a Blazers playoff roster and then left, only one player has started every game he’s played in: Lamarcus Aldridge.
10/
Three more players have started in more than 80% of the game’s they’ve played in: Wes, Nic, and Meyers. Should be noted that Wes and Nic were already on the Blazers roster by the time Neil Olshey got to Portland.
11/
So draw your own conclusions. Has coaching been what’s held the Blazers back from deep playoff runs? Or is it that the roster construction has been not great over the last 7 seasons?
End/
Cc: @DannyMarang long thread, but interesting to see in one place all of the dudes who have been on Portland's playoff rosters over the last 7 seasons. Spoiler alert, they're not great!!
