Due to yesterday tweet, I decided to do this small thread. About Adventure and Tamers, "the connections that were intended by the main staff team".
By reading the timeline of "Digimon Tamers" written by Konaka, the main writer of Tamers and the one who main developed the world of Tamers, one of the various details in that timeline is the inclusion that "Adventure" and "02" were TV shows in the world of Tamers.
In the early planning of the series, Konaka said that even with Tamers not having direct connections to Adventure, 02 or V-Tamer the characters of the two seasons are seen as "heroes" from the point of view of Tamers characters, and maybe they could appear in the future.
As said in a interview of Tamers' BD-Box (Translated by @kazakazarinn) that was a part of Tamers' setting that was a bit hard to express since they wanted to reveal that without saying directly. So the references would be something that someone could imply just by seeing the show

According to Konaka, the game was made with the original plan of Digimon Tamers, so maybe this was made before the decision to make the connection of Tamers and Adventure only subtle was made.
Other products also tried to be more clear about the connection. The manhua adaptation of "Digimon Tamers" included Takato making a direct reference to "Takato saw Taichi in the TV" when Guilmon evolved into Megidramon comparing this to Agumon evolving into SkullGreymon.
