This is the used car business that’s been hit twice here in Kenosha. Almost every single car has been completely burned.

Just spoke to a local out here who said the destruction sucks, but argued it was necessary because that’s the only way change will happen.

Said they will continue to “burn this motherfucker down.”

This man stood in front of his now burned down family-owned business, which he said has been around for over 40 years.

“It’s not like our checking account has a million dollars plus in it ... I think we need to come together with a solution.”
This woman lives on the same street as some of the businesses that burned to the ground. She was helping clean up her friend’s business today, which was looted.

“There’s no words. There’s just absolutely no words.”

She also criticized officers for a lack of response:

Officers are putting up caution tape for certain structures. They told someone it will likely have to be torn down
15-year-old Matthew Stuart was out in Kenosha helping clean up the city today.

“It’s really important ‘cuz there’s a lot of businesses up and down here ... It’s very important to the community. Places I even shop at, so I just thought, you really have to come out here,” he said.
